DOGWOOD ROTTWEILER CLUB INFOInterested in joining the DRCMA? The Dogwood Rottweiler Club welcomes new members!
About Our Membership Although most members of the club are rottweiler owners in the greater Atlanta area, you do not have to own a rottweiler to join, and you don't have to live in Atlanta. The rottweiler is a versatile working breed, and members of our club participate with their dogs in a variety of AKC events as well as other activities like carting, herding, obedience, flyball, agility, schutzhund, tracking, conformation and therapy dog visits, including literacy programs like Reading to Rover. Many members of the club are also actively involved in rottweiler rescue efforts, both with Southern States Rottweiler Rescue and R.O.T.T.S., Rottweiler Owners Together Taking Steps. Others are actively involved in Breed Specific Leglislation (BSL), which threatens the ability of responsible rottweiler owners to own their breed of choice, whether from legislation, or from homeowners insurance discrimination. Many of our members are also members of the parent breed club, the American Rottweiler Club (ARC), as well as other rottweiler clubs like the United States Rottweiler Club (USRC) and American Rottweiler Verein (ARV).
